Govt says pays 57 mln rbl to 823 healthcare workers with COVID-19

MOSCOW, May 26 (PRIME) – The government paid 56.6 million rubles to 823 Russian healthcare workers in the wake of contraction of COVID-19, Lyudmila Letnikova, director of the public health, communications and healthcare expertise department of the Healthcare Ministry, said on Tuesday.

"According to the fund (of social insurance), payments to 823 healthcare workers worth 56.6 million rubles due to contraction of COVID-19 were made as of May 25," Letnikova said.

She said that more than 5,000 cases were being looked into.
